About the funder
Department 13 Environment and Spatial Planning is a specialized department within the Styrian Provincial Government Office, based in Graz. It is responsible for the implementation of federal and state laws concerning environmental impact assessments (EIA), nature conservation, spatial planning, and strategic environmental assessments. Its main tasks include the official supervision of cross-border EIA procedures, the approval and evaluation of wind energy or infrastructure projects, participation in the Spatial Information System Styria (RaumIS), as well as advising and facilitating public participation in spatial planning-related processes.
