Department 7 "Municipalities, Elections, and Rural Road Construction" is a specialized department within the Office of the Styrian Provincial Government. It advises and supports Styrian municipalities and municipal associations on matters of municipal constitution, municipal administration, as well as economic and budgetary law. The department organizes elections, allocates revenue shares in financial equalization, and oversees rural road construction. In the event of disaster damage, it conducts expert assessments and coordination, promotes broadband expansion, and implements projects in cooperation with the Styrian Broadband and Data Infrastructure Company.
