About the funder

The Office of the Vorarlberg State Government – Department of General Economic Affairs (VIa) is a specialized department within the administrative area of the Vorarlberg State Government. Together with the Chamber of Labour Vorarlberg, it manages a wide range of funding programs and grants for businesses, municipalities, non-profit organizations, and private individuals. Its responsibilities include the administration of vocational promotion measures of the Chamber of Labour, top-up funding in the areas of broadband expansion and digitalization, the implementation of infrastructure and building projects, as well as various innovation and education grants. The department works closely with regional economic partners, municipalities, and educational institutions to sustainably promote economic strength, innovation capacity, and digital transformation in the state of Vorarlberg.

Target groups

The Department of General Economic Affairs targets companies of all sizes, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), municipalities as school authorities in the area of broadband and digitalization funding, private individuals and employees for vocational training and education subsidy programs, non-profit organizations and adult education institutions, as well as cooperation partners such as the Chamber of Commerce, research institutions, and other public bodies. Projects and measures that promote digitalization, infrastructure, innovation, and qualification in Vorarlberg are funded, thereby making a sustainable contribution to economic development and social participation.
