The Office of the Vorarlberg State Government, Department of Early Childhood Education, School and Society (IIa), Division of Youth & Family, is the responsible state authority for early childhood education and care in Vorarlberg. It supports, promotes, and supervises children up to the age of 14 and establishes the legal and organizational framework conditions for child education and care facilities, infant and kindergarten services, as well as school afternoon care.

Our goal is to ensure a high-quality and needs-based early childhood education and care landscape in Vorarlberg. We focus on collaboration with institutions, municipalities, and families to promote equal opportunities, child-friendly environments, and educational quality. The well-being of the child and the relief of families are at the center.

The funding and advisory services are aimed at early childhood education and care institutions (kindergartens, after-school care centers, playgroups) in Vorarlberg, their educational staff, as well as families with children up to 14 years of age. In addition, municipalities and sponsoring organizations are included as cooperation partners.
