About the funder

The Angelika and Friedemann Spicker Foundation, based in Cologne, was legally established on September 22, 2005. The purpose of the foundation is the promotion of science and research, particularly in the field of literary studies with a focus on aphorisms and related literary short forms. - Awarding work and travel scholarships as well as subsidies for printing costs
- Building and maintaining a specialized library and archive
- Organizing and supporting public events (readings, workshops, work meetings)
- Financing the book series "dapha-drucke" and participating in the German Aphorism Archive Hattingen e. V.

The foundation welcomes endowments and works closely with the Cologne Gymnasial and Foundation Fund. The board consists of Dr. Angelika Spicker-Wendt and Thomas Erdle as managing director of the Cologne Gymnasial and Foundation Fund; the supervisory board is made up of members of the Cologne Gymnasial and Foundation Fund.
