Mission & Vision

The Anneliese Brost Foundation sees itself as a supporter of disadvantaged children, adolescents, and elderly people in the Ruhr area. Together with its youth council, in which young people themselves decide on the allocation of funds, it aims to reduce social inequalities, increase educational and participation opportunities, and enable cultural inclusion. In doing so, the foundation pursues the goal of creating sustainable structures and strengthening civic engagement.

Target groups

The funding programs are primarily aimed at children and young people from socially disadvantaged or broken families in Essen and the surrounding area. In addition, youth welfare institutions such as homes, schools, training centers, and daycare centers are supported. Likewise, needy elderly people and elderly care facilities as well as medical research institutions are a focus. Furthermore, the foundation supports cultural and educational organizations that carry out events, exhibitions, and projects to promote cultural education.
