About the funder
The Aufrecht Foundation is a private, non-profit foundation based in Bad Wörishofen. Founded by Michaela and Lothar Mayer in 2016, it supports initiatives and projects that sustainably improve the coexistence and quality of life of people, animals, and the environment. The foundation's purposes include youth and elderly care, education and training, health prevention, science and research, nature conservation and landscape management, animal protection, environmental protection, as well as charitable causes.

Mission & Vision
Our mission is to help people live their lives "upright and with ease." We believe in the value of community cohesion, mutual support, and benevolent action. Through our commitment, we aim to contribute to a livable environment and, thanks to our financial resources, to effect sustainable good.
Target groups
The Aufrecht Foundation directs its funding primarily to disadvantaged social groups and non-profit initiatives. These include, among others: women experiencing poverty in old age and single parents; children, adolescents, and seniors in distress; projects in the fields of environmental and animal protection; organizations involved in education, research, and health care; initiatives pursuing charitable or social objectives.
