About the funder

The Bäume für Nürnberg Foundation is a legally capable, non-profit foundation under civil law based in Nuremberg. It was founded in 2013 by Margit Grüll and aims to sustainably green the urban landscape of Nuremberg through the planting and care of street trees. As a partner of the Public Space Service Operation Nuremberg (SÖR) and in cooperation with municipal authorities, the foundation promotes planting campaigns, environmental education, and public relations to enhance the importance of green spaces for quality of life and climate in the densely built city.

Mission & Vision

The Bäume für Nürnberg Foundation is committed to increasing the number and care of street trees in the urban area of Nuremberg in a long-term and sustainable manner.
