The Bauer Foundation for the Promotion of Science and Research was established in 1996 by the Heinrich Bauer family in Hamburg. As a private, non-profit foundation within the Donors' Association, it has assets of approximately €6.3 million and an annual funding volume of about €200,000. It supports outstanding research projects, particularly the establishment and leadership of junior research groups in the life and environmental sciences. Target groups
