Mission & Vision
The BLM is tasked with securing diversity of opinion and media freedom in Bavaria, promoting quality standards in private broadcasting, and accompanying the digital transformation of the media market. Through targeted funding programs and regulatory work, it aims to contribute to enabling citizens of all age groups to participate competently and responsibly in media life.
Target groups
The funding programs of the BLM are aimed at private broadcasters as well as telemedia service providers in Bavaria, production companies, creative and media technology start-ups, municipal institutions, and educational organizations. Additionally, schools, universities, and educational and cultural initiatives benefit from programs to strengthen media literacy.
