About the funder
The Bavarian Sports Foundation was established in 2010 by the Bavarian State Sports Association e. V. and aims to promote and secure youth elite sports in Bavaria in the long term. It supports young athletes through financial grants, material benefits, and the facilitation of training, study, and employment opportunities. Furthermore, it offers mentoring, access to a strong network of sports associations, educational institutions, and business partners, as well as assistance in balancing school, training, and elite sports.

Mission & Vision
We create a high-performance sports-friendly environment for Bavarian talents and support them on their path to the international elite. In doing so, we combine athletic ambition with educational and professional development, promote fairness and a sense of community, and are committed to enabling young athletes to fully develop their potential both in sports and personally.
Target groups
Funding is provided to up-and-coming elite athletes in Bavarian clubs who have already achieved national or international success and ambitiously aim for the next level of performance – up to European, World Championships, or Olympic Games. The foundation targets individuals from Bavaria who, in addition to training and competition support, also require assistance with education, studies, or career entry.
