Mission & Vision
The mission of Bayern liest e. V. is to revitalize the reading culture throughout Bavaria and to support literature and reading promotion in a community-oriented manner. We believe that regular readings and literary encounters not only foster a joy of reading but also strengthen social participation and cultural education. Through financial support, we aim to provide authors with a platform and enable public institutions to offer literary programs locally.
Target groups
Bayern liest e. V. primarily directs its grants to organizers and coordinators of literary readings in Bavaria – in particular public libraries, non-profit cultural institutions, bookstores, schools, or local initiatives. The funding programs focus on individual readings by authors and address both individuals and groups who wish to plan and conduct readings. Volunteers engaged in promoting reading and who want to collaborate with Bayern liest e. V. are also welcome.
