About the funder

The Advisory Office for Municipal Neighborhood Development in Saxony-Anhalt (BEQISA) was established in October 2019 as a project of the Society for Prevention in Old Age (PiA) e.V. and is funded by the Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs and Integration of the State of Saxony-Anhalt. BEQISA connects districts, independent cities, municipalities, and communities with regional and supra-regional stakeholders, consolidates existing knowledge, and provides impulses for the age-appropriate further development of neighborhoods. The goal is to strengthen the independence of elderly and care-dependent individuals in their familiar living environment through practical examples, workshops, and advisory services, and to establish a needs-based care and supply structure.
