Bernd und Gisela Rosenheim-Stiftung
About the funder
The Bernd and Gisela Rosenheim Foundation was established in 1993 by the artist and sculptor Bernd G. Rosenheim, born in Offenbach am Main. As a legal foundation under civil law based in Michelstadt, it supports contemporary visual arts. The foundation regularly announces art competitions and exhibitions on predetermined themes and materials, held in Germany and neighboring European countries. Participants are selected anonymously by a professional jury, and the winners are only announced at the vernissage. In addition, the foundation organizes solo and group exhibitions, publications, lectures, and other cultural events.

Mission & Vision
The Bernd and Gisela Rosenheim Foundation assesses artistic quality solely based on design criteria and not according to market trends, reputation, or price level. It supports art that convinces through form, visual expression, and persuasiveness. Whether figurative or abstract, mainstream or outsider position – the decisive factors are innovation, strength of form, and artistic expression. Currently, the focus is on hand drawings, painting, and sculpture, with the option for future expansions.
Target groups
The foundation's funding programs and competitions are aimed at professional visual artists in Germany and across Europe who dedicate themselves to the classical disciplines of drawing, painting, or sculpture. Participation requires the submission of works related to the specified themes and materials. The foundation targets artists who impress through artistic quality, strong form, and substantive depth.
