Mission & Vision
Our mission is to provide young families in Hamburg with a "Safe Harbor" where parental sensitivity and secure attachment can develop. Through professional support before and after birth, as well as developmental psychological counseling, we strengthen parental skills, reduce stress, and thus lay the foundation for healthy emotional, social, and physical development of the children.
Target groups
The services are aimed at all young parents in Hamburg – both families without particular burdens and those with psychosocial risks (e.g., partnership conflicts, unemployment, mental health or addiction disorders), underage and single mothers and fathers, as well as parents with prenatal stress experiences. An evaluation shows that the majority of participants face significant psychosocial burdens and require long-term support to prevent child welfare endangerment and to build resilience.
