About the funder
The Educational Directorate for Lower Austria is the supervisory regional authority for the school system in the state of Lower Austria. It was established on January 1, 2019, based on the Education Reform Act 2017 and is responsible for the organization, funding, and quality assurance of a total of 1,158 schools with approximately 200,000 students and around 23,000 educators. As a modern regional authority, it supports schools, teachers, students, and parents through service offerings, consultation, the implementation of decrees and funding measures, as well as regional support, and serves as a central interface between the Federal Ministry and regional educational practice.
