Mission & Vision

Our mission is to promote equal opportunities and quality within the Austrian education system. We are committed to inclusive, digital, and future-oriented teaching, support lifelong learning, and accompany innovative projects. Through needs-based funding programs, advisory, and service offerings, we ensure that all students and teachers receive optimal support and that education serves as a driving force for social development and personal growth.

Target groups

The funding programs of the BMB are primarily aimed at students of all school types in public and federally managed educational institutions in Austria, particularly those who are financially disadvantaged and socially marginalized, as well as students with disabilities. Furthermore, they target teachers, educational professionals, and educational providers who participate in further training, digitalization initiatives, and quality development projects to advance the educational landscape.
