About the funder
The "Blaue Brücke – Foundation of Lebenshilfe Mecklenburg-Vorpommern" was established in 2008 by the State Association of Lebenshilfe Mecklenburg-Vorpommern e. V. It consolidates private and patronage-motivated funds to finance projects for people with intellectual disabilities and their families in a long-term and sustainable manner. Income from the foundation's capital is used to implement integration measures, art, culture, and sports programs, training courses, as well as innovative support models. The foundation exclusively pursues charitable and benevolent purposes within the meaning of §§ 52 and 53 of the German Tax Code (AO).

Mission & Vision
No one shall be disadvantaged because of their disability. The foundation is committed to removing barriers and promoting the independence of people with intellectual disabilities. Through targeted project funding and collaborations, it aims to create a more inclusive society.
Target groups
The foundation's funding programs are aimed at people with physical, intellectual, or mental disabilities – especially those with intellectual disabilities – as well as their relatives and families, and at organizations and institutions providing disability support in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Additionally, projects and initiatives that develop innovative support models and disseminate scientific findings in the field of disability assistance are supported.
