About the funder

The Federal Ministry for Labour, Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection (BMASGPK) is a supreme federal authority of the Republic of Austria. It designs and implements nationwide policies in the areas of the labour market, labour law, occupational safety, social policy, the health system, care, and consumer protection. The Ministry coordinates funding programs from federal resources in accordance with the General Framework Guidelines (ARR 2014) and acts as the administrative authority for EU co-financing, particularly within the framework of European initiatives such as the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund. It provides advisory and funding services for projects that strengthen social inclusion, health promotion, care provision, and consumer rights in Austria.

Mission & Vision

Our mission is to sustainably promote social security, health, and consumer protection. We are committed to improving equal opportunities in the labor market through targeted funding measures and legal frameworks, supporting vulnerable groups, ensuring quality and innovation in the health and care system, and strengthening consumer rights. In doing so, we align ourselves with European and international standards and act transparently, efficiently, and responsibly.

Target groups

The funding programs of the BMASGPK are aimed at organizations, institutions, and individuals in Austria who implement projects and measures in the fields of labor, social affairs, health, care, and consumer protection. This includes welfare associations, non-governmental organizations, public institutions, research institutions, as well as social initiatives. Supported are initiatives that contribute to the social participation of people with disabilities, health promotion, care provision, senior citizen work, and consumer education, or pursue innovative approaches to strengthening social cohesion.
