Mission & Vision
Department II/5 aims to contribute to the shift of road freight transport to more environmentally friendly modes of transport through demand-oriented funding instruments, to strengthen the competitiveness of combined transport, and thereby to implement Austrian climate targets and EU requirements for modal shift.
Target groups
Companies and institutions based in Austria that operate in the field of freight transport and logistics are eligible for funding. This includes connecting railway companies, operators of intermodal transshipment facilities (terminals), transport and logistics companies, cooperatives, as well as, in the case of feasibility studies, university institutions.
