Mission & Vision
The BMIMI promotes innovative technologies and sustainable mobility concepts with the aim of strengthening Austria's competitiveness, achieving environmental and climate protection goals, and ensuring an efficient, safe, and future-oriented transport system for all citizens. Through targeted funding measures and cooperation with industry, science, and federal research institutions, the Ministry supports the transformation towards climate-neutral, digitized, and inclusive mobility.
Target groups
The funding programs of BMIMI are aimed at research institutions, universities, companies of all sizes, municipalities, non-governmental organizations, and in selected programs also at private individuals and associations in Austria. The goal is to provide actors from the fields of technology development, traffic planning, infrastructure, and climate protection with concrete financial and professional support for the implementation of innovative projects.
