Bürgerstiftung Biberach

The Bürgerstiftung Biberach was established in 2005 as a non-profit, non-partisan, and non-denominational foundation with the aim of strengthening civic engagement in Biberach and the surrounding area. It supports individuals, non-profit organizations, and initiatives through targeted project funding as well as its own programs such as "Classroom in the Green" and the integration fund "1:1 – Person to Person." Since its founding, over 750,000 euros have been distributed to non-profit projects, most recently around 130,000 euros in the anniversary year 2025. The foundation is active in the fields of education, social affairs, culture, integration, and the environment.

The mission statement of the Bürgerstiftung Biberach is founded on the idea of a caring community in Biberach and the surrounding area. The volunteer board members are committed to a socially just, peaceful, environmentally sustainable, and diverse community. The goal is to create sustainable structures in which people take responsibility and jointly improve the quality of life locally.

The funding programs of the Bürgerstiftung Biberach are aimed at non-profit associations, initiatives, educational institutions, and individuals in Biberach and the surrounding area who wish to implement projects in the fields of education and training, culture, social affairs, integration, and environmental protection. Additionally, disadvantaged individuals as well as migrants benefit from the foundation’s own projects such as “1:1 – Person to Person” and the “Classroom in the Green.”
