Bürgerstiftung Bürstadt

The Bürgerstiftung Bürstadt was founded in December 2011 by 23 private individuals and companies, each contributing a minimum deposit of €1,000. Since then, the board and foundation council have been voluntarily committed to charitable projects in Bürstadt and the districts of Bobstadt and Riedrode. The foundation's goal is to support initiatives that fall outside the scope of government responsibilities. Its focus areas are education and upbringing, child, youth, and senior assistance, culture, art and monument preservation, as well as environmental and nature conservation. The Bürgerstiftung manages its foundation capital sustainably and uses the proceeds and donations directly for projects that strengthen social cohesion and quality of life in the region.

The Bürgerstiftung Bürstadt stands for strong togetherness and supports engagement where public authorities can no longer reach. Our mission is to inspire people, connect them, and actively involve them in the common good. With clear values – Inspire, Connect, Involve, Strengthen, Enable, and Integrate – we create space for education, culture, and social cohesion. As an independent, transparent, and open initiative, we are a reliable partner for projects from the community and pursue the goal of making community life vibrant.

Our funding programs are aimed at citizens of all generations and backgrounds in Bürstadt, Bobstadt, and Riedrode. We particularly support children and young people (e.g., educational and cultural projects, sponsorships), families with children, including those with learning difficulties or migration backgrounds, seniors and volunteers, cultural workers and monument protection initiatives, as well as individuals with ideas for charitable projects, whom we assist through advice, project funding, or financial grants. Our work links individual support, voluntary engagement, and the long-term strengthening of the foundation’s capital to achieve sustainable impact in the region.
