Mission & Vision
The Bürgerstiftung für Chemnitz is committed to promoting volunteer initiatives and improving the framework conditions for civic engagement. Its goal is to provide long-term support for diverse projects in the fields of art, culture, education, youth and elderly care, as well as nature and environmental protection, and to strengthen the identification of citizens with their city.
Target groups
The offerings of the Bürgerstiftung are aimed at non-profit clubs, associations, initiatives, and individuals in Chemnitz who are or wish to become civically engaged. It supports organizations with funding applications, club founding and management, further training, and networking. Small clubs and young initiatives with limited own resources are given special support.
