Bürgerstiftung Hemmingen

The Bürgerstiftung Hemmingen is a non-profit foundation founded in 2006 by committed citizens, politically and denominationally independent. It manages an endowment of approximately 680,000 euros and supports future-oriented activities in all seven districts of Hemmingen in the fields of education and upbringing, youth and elderly care, arts and culture, health and social affairs, sports, as well as environmental and nature conservation. As an initiator and catalyst of civic engagement, the foundation supports local projects and initiatives that serve as models, are predominantly volunteer-driven, provide help for self-help, and strengthen local networks. Funding amounts are generally up to 1,000 euros; in exceptional cases, multi-year grants are awarded.

The Bürgerstiftung Hemmingen is committed to strengthening civic engagement in Hemmingen and initiating charitable projects in the fields of education, social affairs, culture, health, and the environment. We support ideas and initiatives that are locally rooted, have a sustainable impact, and actively involve the community on site. Through your donation, endowment, or collaboration, we aim to create a future together with the people of Hemmingen and promote social cohesion in the city.

Funding is provided to associations, non-profit initiatives, schools, groups, and individuals in the city of Hemmingen who operate in accordance with the statutes. Particular emphasis is placed on exemplary projects that are volunteer-driven, foster networks, promote self-help, and offer a sustainable societal benefit in the areas of education, youth and elderly care, arts and culture, health, social affairs, sports, as well as environmental and nature conservation.
