BürgerStiftung Höxter is a legally recognized foundation under civil law based in Höxter, founded in 2008 at the suggestion of the Alliance for Family and Generations Höxter. As an independent, non-profit organization run by citizens for citizens, it supports local projects in the areas of family, children, youth and generations, education, culture, integration, child, youth and elderly care, assistance for people in need, volunteer work, healthcare, and sports. The foundation's assets are invested profitably, and the interest income as well as donations are used 100% directly for the supported projects in Höxter and its twelve districts.

Mission & Vision
The BürgerStiftung Höxter is committed to strengthening the social engagement and community spirit of the people in Höxter by initiating and supporting local projects that promote the common good. As an independent foundation by citizens for citizens, it does not see itself as an extension of the city administration but as a complement to sustainably create added value in the city.
Target groups
The funding programs are aimed at citizens of all age groups as well as local initiatives, associations, and organizations in Höxter and its twelve districts.
