Bürgerstiftung in der Glockenstadt Gescher

The Bürgerstiftung in der Glockenstadt Gescher is a non-profit, legally recognized foundation under civil law, supervised by the Regional President and the Tax Office. It supports local organizations, institutions, and associations with charitable objectives through the proceeds from the foundation’s assets, additional endowments, donations, and revenues from its own projects—always beyond the mandatory tasks of the city. The foundation operates independently, is non-partisan, does not charge membership fees, and sees itself as a civic, voluntary commitment by and for the citizens of Gescher.

Our mission is the advancement of the community in the Bell Town of Gescher through unbureaucratic, flexible, and sustainable support of non-profit initiatives. We are committed to strengthening the diversity of social life in accordance with the Basic Law and to promoting social assistance, youth, family and elderly care, education, culture, environmental and monument protection, as well as social cohesion through project-based support.

Our funding programs are aimed at non-profit organizations, institutions, associations, and citizen initiatives in the bell town of Gescher, particularly in the fields of social assistance, child, youth, and elderly care, education and upbringing, arts and culture, environmental and nature conservation, monument protection and heritage preservation, as well as sports and healthcare. The goal is to support projects that actively promote and enrich social cohesion in Gescher.
