Bürgerstiftung Ismaning
About the funder
The Bürgerstiftung Ismaning is a legally recognized foundation under civil law based in Ismaning, founded in November 2014 as a trust foundation of the municipality of Ismaning and independent since December 2024. Initiated by former mayor Michael Sedlmair, the foundation supports charitable projects in the interest of the community with its endowment capital and raised funds. Since its inception, approximately €320,000 in assets have been accumulated, and numerous donations and contributions have been collected for programs in education, youth and elderly care, inclusion, environmental and climate protection, as well as international understanding.

Mission & Vision
The Bürgerstiftung Ismaning exclusively and directly pursues charitable purposes in accordance with the German Tax Code (§§ 51 et seq. AO). Its mission is to promote social initiatives for the benefit of the community and its citizens. It focuses on education, general and vocational training, youth and elderly care, assistance for people with disabilities, nature and environmental protection, as well as international understanding.
Target groups
The funding programs are aimed at the residents of the municipality of Ismaning: children and young people in school and training, seniors, people with disabilities, refugees and immigrants, as well as associations and local initiatives that implement inclusive, integrative, and community-oriented projects.
