The Bürgerstiftung Nottuln is a non-profit, independent foundation under private law based in Nottuln. Founded on November 25, 2009, by 22 founders with initial capital of EUR 52,300, it aims to sustainably strengthen the local community. It is managed by a voluntary foundation board and supervised by a foundation council. The areas of support include extracurricular education, culture, child and youth work, integration of people with disabilities, nature and environmental protection, local heritage and monument preservation, international understanding, and development aid.

Mission & Vision
The Bürgerstiftung Nottuln promotes civic engagement and sustainable projects in our community. Our goal is to bring people and institutions together to jointly shape the living environment, strengthen education and culture, and support nature and environmental protection. We believe in the power of volunteer work and aim to develop the local civil society sustainably through targeted funding projects.
Target groups
The target group of the Bürgerstiftung Nottuln includes all citizens of the municipality of Nottuln and surrounding districts. In particular, the funding opportunities are aimed at children and young people, cultural and social initiatives, organizations of independent welfare services, as well as groups and individuals committed to environmental, local heritage, and monument protection. The foundation supports projects that create a sustainable added value for the community.
