Mission & Vision
Our goal is a community in which people stand up for one another and engage sustainably for the common good. Based on the principle of helping people to help themselves, we promote civic engagement, strengthen local networks, and align our projects with the needs of the region to make a lasting and positive contribution to social cohesion.
Target groups
The funding programs of the BürgerStiftung Region Ahrensburg are aimed at all citizens as well as non-profit initiatives within the catchment area (Ahrensburg, Bargteheide, Ammersbek, Großhansdorf, Trittau, and neighboring communities). In particular, the foundation supports disadvantaged children and young people, elderly individuals, families in need, refugees, and volunteer associations and groups that wish to contribute to the social, cultural, and educational development of the region.
