Bürgerstiftung Rösrath

Public foundation

About the funder

The Bürgerstiftung Rösrath was founded in 2004 and is committed to the common good in the city of Rösrath. A key focus is the restoration and preservation of Schloss Eulenbroich as well as the construction and operation of a modern educational workshop with a café and outdoor dining area, which primarily enables extracurricular environmental education opportunities for young people. Furthermore, the foundation supports cultural, social, and integrative projects: from early musical education to literature, art, and theater initiatives, as well as assistance for people in need, youth and senior work, and the maintenance of public spaces and traditional customs. Activities such as the installation of intergenerational benches in all districts and collaborations with the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs and renowned foundations (e.g., Bertelsmann and Körber Foundations) demonstrate its broad commitment. The Bürgerstiftung continuously seeks endowments, donations, and volunteer work to strengthen the sense of community in Rösrath.
