The Bürgerstiftung St. Josef Langenfeld is a legally capable ecclesiastical foundation under civil law based in Langenfeld. It was established by the Catholic parish of St. Josef to permanently support the Catholic church’s work with children, youth, adults, seniors, education, and culture within the parish of St. Josef. Among other responsibilities, it assumed sponsorship of the St. Josef youth center (Josefstr. 2, 40764 Langenfeld) and provides premises for parish life and church communities. The initial endowment amounted to €50,000, the proceeds of which, along with additional donations, are used to support projects and personnel costs of the parish.

Mission & Vision
The Bürgerstiftung St. Josef is selflessly committed to the long-term safeguarding and promotion of Catholic children and youth work as well as other church activities within the pastoral area of the St. Josef parish. Our goal is to provide spaces and personnel that strengthen religious life and community in Langenfeld through the acquisition and management of foundation capital.
Target groups
The Catholic parish of St. Josef Langenfeld and its legal successors, as well as their work with children, youth, adults, and seniors, are supported. Particular emphasis is placed on the sponsorship and operation of the St. Josef youth center, the provision of premises for parish activities, and the personnel support of the parish community. There are no legal claims to grants.
