About the funder
The Bürgerstiftung Steinheim is a legally recognized foundation under civil law, established in 2005 and based in Steinheim. It promotes the cultural and social life of the city as well as the preservation of local heritage. Its core tasks include the expansion and maintenance of the Steinheim Furniture Museum, support for the public library, and measures and assistance for the preservation of local cultural assets, community and festival traditions, and a healthy environment. As an independent, non-profit institution, it supports a wide range of projects in the fields of art and culture, local heritage and customs preservation, monument conservation and nature protection, as well as science and research.

Mission & Vision
The Bürgerstiftung Steinheim sees itself as a foundation by citizens for citizens. It aims to strengthen the awareness and shared responsibility of citizens as well as businesses for shaping their community. By initiating and supporting charitable projects and activities, it enhances the quality of life in Steinheim while simultaneously creating opportunities for voluntary, honorary engagement.
