About the funder
The Bürgerstiftung Waldhof for the Health of People and Nature is a non-profit foundation established in November 2023 by citizens of the region and members of the project and living community Zukunftsdorf Waldhof, headquartered on the historic estate in Greifenstein. It pursues a holistic approach to promote healthcare, nature conservation, education, art, culture, and civic engagement in the region. Through diverse projects such as integrative health services, renaturation initiatives, and intergenerational cultural programs, the foundation strengthens the relationships among people and between people and the surrounding nature.

Mission & Vision
The Bürgerstiftung Waldhof is committed to sustainably promoting the health of people and nature by establishing a flagship project for integrative health education, environmental education, and cultural exchange. It aims to strengthen the common good and joy of life in rural areas through innovative, participatory, and regenerative approaches and to serve as a platform for exchange and collaborative creation.
Target groups
The funding programs and projects of the Bürgerstiftung Waldhof are aimed at all citizens and stakeholders in Greifenstein and the surrounding area: healthcare professionals in rural areas who are supported through scholarships and mentoring; children, youth, and seniors who participate in cultural and intergenerational activities; committed citizens who wish to engage in nature conservation and environmental education projects; artists and cultural workers who realize local cultural formats; as well as all individuals dedicated to fostering a sustainable connection between health, nature, and community.
