About the funder

The Bürgerstiftung Weingarten/Württemberg was founded on May 15, 2013, and officially recognized by the Tübingen Regional Council on June 3, 2013. As a non-profit foundation, we complement state and municipal offerings to strengthen the local common good. Our focus areas include arts and culture, heritage preservation and customs, monument, nature, and environmental protection, health promotion, education and family support, social assistance, international cooperation, as well as scientific and civic projects. Since our founding, we have supported over 79 projects with a total amount of approximately €130,450.

Mission & Vision

Our goal is to promote the common good in Weingarten and strengthen community life by encouraging citizens and institutions to take responsibility for our community. We believe in the transformative power of voluntary commitment and innovation and are dedicated to further developing the foundation of our city through sustainable and exemplary projects.

Target groups

Our funding programs are aimed at individuals, groups, and institutions in the city of Weingarten who are committed to the common good. Projects with a voluntary character that pursue an innovative approach and provide sustainable benefits to the urban community are supported—particularly in the areas of culture, environment, health, education, social affairs, and international understanding.
