About the funder
The Bürgerstiftung Weserbergland is a non-profit, legally independent foundation under civil law, subject to state supervision in accordance with the Foundation Act of the State of Lower Saxony. It was established in 2005 on the occasion of the opening of the financial market of the Sparkasse Weserbergland. The foundation is committed to the homeland and the people of the Weserbergland region and supports a variety of social and charitable projects in the fields of education and upbringing, arts and culture, sports, environmental protection, as well as elderly and youth welfare. An experienced foundation management team supports the founders in realizing the foundation’s mission and ensures the sustainable investment of the foundation’s assets.
