About the funder
The Bürgerstiftung Winnenden is a non-profit foundation "by citizens for citizens" that has steadily grown since its establishment in 2005 with initial capital of 100,000 euros. It supports projects in the interest of the city of Winnenden in the fields of education and upbringing, youth and elderly care, welfare, sports, arts, culture and heritage, as well as environmental and landscape protection. Through the social fund "Citizens Helping Citizens," it provides unbureaucratic support to individuals in need and strengthens local initiatives and associations.

Mission & Vision
Our mission is to sustainably promote the common good in Winnenden by supporting civic engagement and providing financial resources for forward-looking projects. We believe in the power of community and jointly create structures that include and support people of all ages.
Target groups
The funding programs and the social fund are aimed at non-profit initiatives, associations, and projects in Winnenden and the surrounding area that meet at least three of the following criteria: voluntary commitment, model and exemplary character, sustainability, local leadership, innovative approach, and self-help assistance. In addition, the social fund can provide straightforward support to individuals in need facing social emergencies.
