About the funder

The Federal Ministry for Agriculture, Forestry, Climate and Environmental Protection, Regions and Water Management (BMLUK) is the supreme federal authority of the Republic of Austria and is responsible for agricultural and forestry policy, environmental and climate protection, as well as regional development and water management. Within the ministry, Section III "Forestry and Regions" coordinates all matters related to forest and wood policy, forest protection, protective forest and avalanche control, bioeconomy, and spatial development at both the national and international levels.

Target groups

The funding programs of Section III are aimed at forest-managing enterprises, forest owners, forestry agencies, regional planning offices, and municipal institutions that implement projects in the areas of sustainable forestry, wood and bioeconomy, protection against natural hazards, as well as regional development, and wish to apply for financial support through the Federal Forest Fund measures (e.g., Measure 10).
