Calenberger Diakoniestiftung

Public foundation

About the funder

The Calenberger Diakoniestiftung was established in 2009 within the Ronnenberg church district with an initial capital of €125,000. Since then, it has been supporting diaconal projects in church congregations and institutions through the income generated from the foundation’s capital and additional donations raised. Previous funding priorities have included, among others, support for families at the start of the school year, equipping family centers with play and language development materials, energy-saving lighting projects, creative offerings in day care, as well as special projects in hospices and hospice services. As part of the annual "100×100" distribution, fund income is also specifically allocated for concrete initiatives such as the purchase of toys or holiday trips. Meanwhile, the foundation’s capital has nearly doubled, ensuring a continuous availability of funding.
