Carl Hans-Stiftung
About the funder
The Carl Hans Foundation is a non-profit foundation under civil law, established in 2018 based on the legacy of Carl Hans Jr. and his wife Else Hans. It supports children and adolescents in the city of Wiehl up to the age of 21, particularly half and full orphans as well as young people from separated families. Through indirect networks (e.g., via youth work in Wiehl) and personal contact, the foundation identifies specific support needs. Examples of assistance include covering the costs of sports club memberships, music lessons, educational materials, class trips, or tutoring. Projects and associations with objectives in accordance with the foundation’s statutes may also be funded. The board develops funding opportunities, and the advisory board decides on the allocation.

Mission & Vision
Our mission is to enable children and young people in Wiehl, regardless of their social or economic background, to participate equally in education, culture, and social life. We see ourselves as a voluntary, non-denominational, and non-political instrument of the Hans family of donors. Through responsible investment based on sustainable, social, and business ethical criteria, we ensure the long-term security of our funding.
