Cinema-Concetta-Filmförderung
About the funder
The Cinema Concetta Film Funding Foundation was established on September 30, 1992, as a civil law foundation in Rüsselsheim. The occasion was the plane crash at Hoher Nistler in December 1991, in which members of the Cinema-Concetta team lost their lives during filming. Since then, using funds from the estate and numerous donations, the foundation has awarded prize money for satirical short films with a focus on social and contemporary critique. The foundation’s capital is managed with a focus on returns: since the Rüsselsheim Film Days, annual prize money currently totaling €5,000 is awarded to the audience winner, with €2,000 and €1,000 for the second and third place winners respectively. All participants work on a voluntary basis, and the foundation is recognized as a non-profit organization.
