Our vision is a society in which young people, regardless of their origin and background, can shape their educational paths according to their talents and potentials. We promote excellence and commitment, reward willingness to perform, and support each grantee individually and sustainably. Courage, trust, and cooperation are central values for us: we strengthen the self-confidence of individuals and create spaces for transdisciplinary exchange. Through a close connection between idealistic and financial support, we open up perspectives and help shape a livable, open, and democratic future.

Eligible to apply are talented and committed young people of all educational levels: from pupils and trainees to bachelor's, master's, and doctoral students, as well as postdocs, artists, and educators. Furthermore, the foundation supports non-profit initiatives and institutions that implement cultural education and carry out research or educational projects, particularly in Hamburg. Through project-related and cross-program funding, both individuals and groups as well as universities are addressed.
