About the funder
The Cornelsen Foundation for Teaching and Learning is a legally recognized, non-profit foundation under civil law based in Berlin. Since its establishment in 1978, it has promoted the quality of teaching and school practice through continuous exchange between science, research, and educational practice. The foundation particularly supports teachers and school leaders through tailored programs such as the annual Summer University and the Cornelsen Future Award, which honors innovative school projects. The foundation is financed from the proceeds of its endowment as well as contributions from the Franz Cornelsen Foundation, the majority shareholder of the Cornelsen Group. An independent board and an expert advisory council ensure the substantive quality and independence of all funding measures.
