Dagmar + Matthias Krieger Stiftung
About the funder
The Dagmar + Matthias Krieger Foundation was established in 2011 by Dagmar and Matthias Krieger. It pursues exclusively charitable purposes and supports young people in the fields of sports, culture, and education. The goal is to accompany children and adolescents in developing their talents, realizing their dreams, and growing up healthily under dignified conditions. The foundation invests in projects with sustainable impact, including prize money and scholarships, as well as international initiatives such as the orphanage project "Helping Hands for Children" in Mombasa and the biennially awarded DMK Award for sustainable construction. Furthermore, it supports regional initiatives such as charity golf tournaments and cultural projects at the State Theatre Kassel.

Mission & Vision
Our mission is to set an example together with committed partners and to create the conditions for a carefree and equitable future for children and young people. We believe in the transformative power of sports, education, and culture as the foundation for physical and mental health. Through financial and emotional support, we aim to motivate young people to find their personal life paths and to contribute sustainably to shaping our society.
Target groups
The funding programs of the Dagmar + Matthias Krieger Foundation are aimed at children and young people both domestically and abroad, particularly at young individuals who will shape our future. Support is provided to individuals as well as groups and institutions that implement innovative and sustainable projects in the fields of sports, culture, education, and child and youth welfare. A special focus is placed on supporting disadvantaged and disabled young people, as well as on initiatives that are often overlooked within existing funding structures.
