Damp-Stiftung

Private foundation

About the funder

The Damp Foundation was recognized by the Schleswig-Holstein Ministry of the Interior on September 11, 2012. It is the private foundation of entrepreneur Dr. Walter Wübben, who continues his commitment to the former Damp Group, a leading North German healthcare company with approximately €500 million in revenue, through the foundation. For over ten years, the founder has provided €2 million annually. The foundation supports medical research and education, social projects related to the former Damp locations, as well as the training of medical professionals in Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg, and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The originally limited funding in the field of medicine and health, which was set to expire in 2022, has now been extended until the end of 2025. From 2024 onwards, only exceptionally outstanding applications will be accepted.
