About the funder
The David Ben-Gurion Foundation in Germany is a non-partisan and non-denominational non-profit organization based in Hamburg. It was initiated by Waltraut Rubien (1927–2017) and is under the patronage of the former Israeli ambassador to Germany, H.E. Shimon Stein. The foundation promotes, in the spirit of Israel’s first Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion, international understanding as well as cultural and scientific exchange between Germany and Israel. Its core activities include the financial and organizational support of school partnerships, youth projects, and other forms of encounters between the two countries.

Mission & Vision
The David Ben-Gurion Foundation in Germany is committed to strengthening German-Israeli relations by providing young people and educational institutions with platforms for intercultural dialogue.
