About the funder
DEG Impulse gGmbH is a non-profit subsidiary of DEG (100% DEG-owned), founded in 2022, with around 50 employees. It promotes and advises German and international companies on investments and transformation projects in future markets. This includes technical and financial support within the framework of the develoPPP programs (Classic & Ventures), business support services, as well as initial and referral consulting through the Agency for Business & Development (AWE) and the Business & Human Rights Helpdesk. The services are provided in cooperation with the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and complement DEG’s financing offerings.

Target groups
DEG Impulse targets small, medium-sized, and large enterprises as well as start-ups that invest in developing and emerging countries or wish to make their value chains more sustainable. The target groups include DEG financing clients, companies of all sectors and sizes, and relevant economic actors seeking consulting, qualification, or grants for environmentally and socially responsible transformation projects.
