About the funder

The DCTA Foundation was established in 2008 as a legally recognized non-profit foundation under civil law, headquartered in Düsseldorf (branch office in Beijing). It promotes bilateral exchange in science and research, education and upbringing, public health, as well as fostering mutual understanding between Germany and China. A key focus lies in the health sector: the foundation cooperates with approximately 1,200 hospitals in 21 Chinese cities and provinces, as well as around 50 hospitals in Germany. Its central instruments include professional training programs, thematic trips, events, and expert discussions organized for government representatives, public officials, corporate representatives, and specialists in both countries.

Mission & Vision

The DCTA Foundation aims to continuously expand and deepen German-Chinese technology and knowledge exchange for the benefit of both peoples. Through scientific and technical cooperation, network building, and intercultural dialogue, it promotes sustainable partnerships between Germany and China.

Target groups

The activities and funding opportunities are aimed at government representatives and employees of authorities and institutions in Germany and China, company representatives as well as healthcare professionals, scientists, researchers, and educational institutions from both countries, as well as hospitals, medical facilities, and all stakeholders interested in intercultural technology and knowledge exchange.
