Mission & Vision

The non-profit Deutsche Orchester-Stiftung aims to secure the foundation of our rich music and orchestral culture in Germany for the long term. Through support for young talent, music education, competitions, and scholarship programs, the foundation creates the framework conditions to support young artists in their artistic development and to foster new impulses in the orchestral scene.

Target groups

Our target groups are young freelance musicians up to 30 years of age as well as ensembles of classical and contemporary music at the beginning of their professional careers; master's students at classical music conservatories; orchestra and choir projects at schools, daycare centers, clubs, and festivals that strengthen music education for young audiences; as well as institutions and initiatives that develop sustainable orchestra and concert work through innovative formats and concepts.
