DGS-Stiftung

The DGS Foundation is a non-profit private foundation based in Salzkotten. It was established to enable and promote charitable engagement at the intersection of public (state and municipal) responsibilities and private sector activities. The foundation is particularly committed to sports and culture, environmental and nature conservation, as well as science, research, education, and upbringing. Furthermore, it supports people in need—including seniors, individuals with physical and/or mental disabilities, and persons in difficult family circumstances or life situations—through targeted funding measures.

The DGS Foundation aims to contribute to strengthening social cohesion and promoting social justice through its activities. It sees itself as a bridge between public institutions and the private sector to sustainably support projects in the fields of sports, culture, environment, science, and social welfare. Its goal is to create positive impulses for the general public and improve individual life situations through donations, endowments, and voluntary engagement.

The target group of the DGS Foundation comprises project sponsors and initiatives active in the fields of sports, culture, environmental and nature conservation, science, research, education, and upbringing. Additionally, individuals who require assistance and support due to their age, disability, or difficult personal circumstances particularly benefit. Funding applications can be submitted by non-profit associations, institutions, research organizations, educational providers, as well as individuals who make a demonstrable contribution to the common good.
